Why did you start Morning Mugs?

Every morning at my old job I used to make a cup of coffee before work. I had five black mugs--each with a different color on the inside--that I would keep flipped over so the color was not visible. Every time I made a cup of coffee, I would guess what color I was going to pick that day, and if I got it correct I immediately felt a spark of joy. 

​

Morning Mugs stems from this feeling. I have always wanted to start my own company, and one day I was getting a haircut from my friend Sam at Hues on Hanover when he mentioned the open commercial space at Vision Federal Hill. This seemed like a sign that it was finally time to bring Morning Mugs to life here.

 

What is your favorite part about working at Vision Federal Hill?

I really love the community aspect that working at Vision Federal Hill brings. Not only is the co-working space so fun and interesting to be a part of as it brings people from all different walks of life together, but the Federal Hill and Otterbein communities also provide a great feeling of true togetherness. 

 

What is your go-to Morning Mugs order? 

​

This is going to sound really boring, but I love ordering a large black coffee. I used to order what I called the “glazed donut order”, which was essentially black coffee with cream and sugar, but now I enjoy a simply delicious cup of black coffee.
