Living Fit and Healthy in Charm City
We make it a priority to partner with companies that bring a healthy lifestyle to both the residents and communities we serve. From Federal Hill to Fells Point, Harbor East, Downtown, and Mount Vernon, each neighborhood features unique ways to live a healthy lifestyle.
Here’s a look at the ways our residents and our team are “living well” here in Baltimore.
The Fit Life
Get fit without leaving your space. Spurred by necessity during the pandemic, we made in-unit fitness a priority with bonus incentives for new residents to have Peloton bikes or MIRROR Home Gyms in their unit. No more excuses to not work out!
For a more traditional workout experience, Merritt Athletic Clubs is one of the largest gyms in the region offering a plethora of fitness equipment, aquatics, personal training, classes, and more.
Boutique fitness has grown in popularity over the last several years, with unique class experiences opening up throughout the city. In Fells Point, we’re loving Pilates House and F45 Training, a unique workout backed by Mark Wahlberg that incorporates HIIT, functional training, and circuit training. For a redefined version of Pilates, try Solidcore in Harbor Point. Harbor East is home to Orangetheory on Aliceanna Street, a total-body group workout that combines science, coaching, and technology.
Federal Hill has an assortment of options from Knockout Fitness boxing classes, boot camps, and training, to barre classes at The Bar Method, and CorePower Yoga. The neighborhood is also home to Federal Hill Park, a great place to enjoy being active outdoors while taking in a view of the Inner Harbor.
Lastly, for an elegant health club experience head to MVFit in Mount Vernon which hosts training and group fitness experiences, including a spin class in a historic dining room lit by a crystal chandelier.
Well Nourished
Baltimore is known for iconic cuisines such as blue crabs, Berger cookies, pit beef, and Natty Bohs. But healthier options are sprouting up across the city.
Federal Hill’s Pure Raw Juice serves cold-pressed juice blends, smoothies, and smoothie bowls–all made from fresh produce. We love the new Coffee Crunch Bowl for an instant energy boost, with cold brew coffee mixed with bananas, almond butter, cacao nibs, coffee grinds, and cashew milk topped with fun fixings.
The ultimate wellness hub, Whole Foods, got a major upgrade in space and amenities in its new Harbor Point location. Besides grabbing fresh organic groceries, Whole Foods is a great stop for healthy lunch and dinner to go, baked goods, and fresh juice. Amazon Prime members can get the ultimate convenience with grocery delivery and pick-up. Also in Harbor Point is PLANTBAR, which features made-to-order juice, smoothies, smoothie bowls, and juice cleanses made from sustainably sourced, fresh, local ingredients.
Downtown at the 414 Light Building is Liora, a plant-based cuisine concept by Matthew Kenney. His team’s interpretations of Baltimore’s classic dishes are crafted solely from plants including crab cakes to mac and cheese and cheesy grits.
There are so many ways to embrace a healthy lifestyle in Baltimore. Tag us and show how you’re living well!
