Meet The Team

Laetitia Lamarre, Design Specialist

What is your role, and what does a typical day at Chasen look like?

As an Interior Designer, A typical day at work is mostly on AutoCAD working on Floor Plan Layouts of new buildings or rehab buildings for the Construction, Leasing, and Marketing team. Rashida and I work together and create beautiful designs to make sure the vision comes to life. When I am in Baltimore, I take the opportunity to measure vacant units and walk buildings to focus on renovations of residential communal spaces and exterior updates.

How do you promote Chasen’s “intentional design” when choosing a new series or design element?

When choosing a new series, it is best to research the history of the area, looking at the styles of existing buildings next to the site for reference and figuring out ways to modernize the design while staying in code.

What is a hobby of yours that you believe is beneficial in the workplace?

Going to the gym keeps me energized and strong. Being energetic and staying focused is great for this working environment.

What Baltimore community is your favorite?

Harbor Point is my favorite community in Baltimore so far. I love how walk friendly the area is with so many restaurants close by for a wonderful dinner. Being close to the water you have great views and a peaceful promenade.

App you can’t live without?

I can’t live without my YouTube Music app. I love listening to music, as it helps me focus and of course have fun and dance depending on the genre.

First job?

My first job in college was at Macy's. I worked enough to pay for my materials to build my models and gas money to drive to school.

You have 30 minutes of free time - how do you spend it?

If I have 30 minutes of free time I will go to the gym or watch a show (currently Seinfield).

Would you rather: Design or build?

I Love both design and build!! But if I had to choose, it would be design. I can draw or imagine any design on a computer or paper. It’s harder for me to bring it to life.
