Chasen Companies Taps JLL to Oversee Retail Leasing

Following key acquisitions in Fells Point and Harbor East, plans for vibrant retail take shape


BALTIMORE, MD - May 20, 2022 - Chasen Companies announces today it has retained JLL to oversee the real estate development company’s retail leasing and marketing at 1400 Aliceanna Street, 600 S. Caroline Street and 601 S. Broadway Street in Baltimore, Maryland. Together, the projects will total more than 70,000 square feet of retail space to support the more than 400 units the properties comprise.

Chasen Companies’ portfolio comprises more than 50 luxury multifamily properties throughout the Baltimore and Washington D.C. markets. Each living and workspace is intentionally designed to provide a boutique setting with commercial space and modern amenities--all while maintaining the historic heritage of the property. 


601 S. Broadway Street will be the first to be delivered in 2023 with 1400 Aliceanna and 600 S. Caroline soon after. “We’ve doubled down on our investments in the Harbor East and Fells Point neighborhoods–revitalizing what was once a warehouse district into a destination for the community to live, work and shop. We need a team whose reach is only going to further enhance our vision,” added Chasen. “JLL has robust national experience leasing and marketing ground floor retail and we’re confident they are going to present a mix of tenants who will be as forward-thinking as we are as a company. This is a big step in our growth strategy.”
