Live Well in Fell's Point

Situated along Baltimore’s scenic waterfront, Fells Point is one of Baltimore’s most iconic neighborhoods. The cobblestoned streets, steeped in Maryland’s maritime past, are home to Chasen Companies’ headquarters, six boutique luxury Chasen apartment complexes, and a Vision coworking space.

Fall is the perfect time to take a closer look at the myriad of experiences available to our residents in Fells Point.

Fall in Fells

An annual free fall tradition is the Fell’s Point Fun Festival. Except for 2020, the event has been held for 55 consecutive years, and originally began as a fundraiser to fight against a project that would have demolished an extensive area of historic Fells Point. Today the festival is organized by The Preservation Society with bands and hundreds of local vendors featuring diverse food, clothing, art, jewelry, and more—all taking over multiple city blocks.

Founded in 1763, Fells Point is one of the oldest seaports in the U.S. So it’s no surprise that the waterfront neighborhood hosts ghost and haunted pub tours, which are wildly popular in the fall. The community also throws one of the most renowned Halloween experiences in the region. Broadway and Thames streets become packed with costume-wearing crowds for a full-day and night extravaganza.

Fells Fare

Situated along the north shore of the Inner Harbor, Fells Point boasts over 100 pubs and is home to several upscale restaurants which boast some of the finest cuisines in the city.

The Sagamore Pendry Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel located on Recreation Pier in the heart of Fells Point. Its Rec Pier Chop House serves classic Italian cuisine, seasonal ingredients, sustainable seafood, and homemade pasta. Naturally, several variations of Sagamore Spirit Rye are served as well. Adjacent to the Pendry, along the waterfront, lies Pitango Cafe + Bakery, an artisan Italian bakery with sandwiches, coffee and tea, and gelato.

The Choptank, located in the newly renovated 200+ year-old Broadway Market, is a new classic fish and crab house that offers spacious indoor and outdoor seating, an outdoor bar, and games. Another amazing seafood experience is Cindy Lous Fishhouse, a new spot in Harbor Point that has an upscale atmosphere with exceptional cocktails, and ample outdoor seating to admire 180 views of the harbor.

For modern upscale seafood, Thames Street Oyster House is among the best with a raw bar, live music, and harbor views. Further down the cobblestone streets lies Bond Street Social and Barcocina, a contemporary Mexican eatery with some of the best outdoor seating in the neighborhood.

Tavern types will appreciate the historic pubs that line Thames street including Riptide, Cat’s Eye Pub, The Admirals Cup, and Waterfront Hotel—all with signature pub food and live music. Not to be ignored is Ale Mary’s, situated around the corner on Aliceanna Street and famous for its tater “tots” menu and heavenly ales.

Saturated in Shops

Dozens of boutiques and home shops call Fells Point home. The Fells Point Surf Company is a staple for casual surf-inspired clothing and gear. Some of the city’s most unique and modern shoes, apparel, and accessories are found at Poppy & Stella, located in the heart of Fells Point on Broadway. Many Chasen residents head to Su Casa to outfit their homes with classic, unique, and contemporary furniture and accessories. For the most extensive selection of eclectic gifts for body and home, head to Zelda Zen, a boutique located on historic Thames Street.

Living well means enjoying your community and all of the experiences it has to offer.  There’s something special about Fells Point--it’s why we call it home for Chasen, and why we love when residents call it home too.
