Meet The Team
Emily Lansinger, Leasing Specialist
What is your role, and what does a typical day at Chasen look like?
I am our Leasing Specialist for primarily our Mount Vernon and Federal Hill properties. My every day consists of reaching out to people interested in our properties to help narrow down options that best fit their desires and requirements. I follow up with them to make the process of leasing as smooth as possible for our prospective tenants. I also take videos of our units at our newly renovated properties to share with our team and prospective tenants.
What is a hobby of yours that you believe is beneficial in the workplace?
I play in a volleyball league most seasons and love it as a fun way to stay active. I've played sports my whole life, and it's definitely encouraged my competitive side, which helps in a sales role. I've also learned the importance of teamwork and holding myself accountable. Volleyball is such a team sport, because each position on the court is so heavily relied on; it really translates well to our business. Each person on our team has a vital role, and has to work together to make our company successful.
What Baltimore community is your favorite?
I love Fells Point. Everything is within walking distance, and there are so many great bars and restaurants right on the water for any occasion. For a more relaxed night, I love Max's Taphouse and Admiral's Cup, but it's always fun to splurge at The Pendry as well.
App you can’t live without?
Netflix! I get entirely too invested in fictional TV shows and the characters, especially in the crime drama genre. My personal favorites are True Detective and Broadchurch.
My first job was as a bartender/barista at a small, family-owned restaurant in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Being a part of a small, new company was so exciting. I was able to contribute to the growth of the restaurant and have my hands in more than just my specific responsibilities. I got to use my creativity to help with the design of the restaurant, our social media presence, and improvements in our every day operations.
You have 30 minutes of free time - how do you spend it?
I really enjoy walking. I often walk the Waterfront Promenade from Canton Waterfront Park to Fells, as well as paths in Patterson Park. It's a great way to relax and decompress from my day, while staying active and getting some fresh air.
Design, build or tear-down? What are your dream projects?
Build! It's so fun to see our buildings from start to finish, along with the unique features that separate our buildings from the rest in Baltimore. I love the idea of preserving the historic aspects of the properties, while transforming them into modern, boutique buildings.
