Meet The Team

Bruce Damon, Assistant Property Manager

"The Community Caretaker"

What is your role, and what does a typical day at Chasen look like?

As Assistant Property Manager, I work closely with our Chasen team and our tenants to oversee all aspects of maintenance and occupancy for our properties. I support daily operations, which includes coordinating maintenance requests, ensuring the condition of our properties is top-notch, and connecting with potential tenants to introduce them to available units.

What is a hobby of yours that you believe is beneficial in the workplace?

I played football in college and still enjoy playing with friends. The sport teaches camaraderie and teamwork which is beneficial when working with partners across different departments, as well as tenants and maintenance teams who I collaborate with regularly.

What Baltimore community is your favorite?

Harbor East. It has such a great dining scene with many of the restaurants overlooking the harbor for waterfront dinner views - my personal favorites are Azumi and Maximón.

App you can’t live without?

Twitter. If I did not have Twitter, I'm not sure what I would do--it keeps me updated on sports, news, business, and other trends around the country and the world.

First job?

My first job was with Aerotek as a Recruiter. I gained a bulk of my sales experience in this role, which has translated well to my current position at Chasen, supporting my efforts on the leasing side of the business.

You have 30 minutes of free time - how do you spend it?

I love to run. Whenever I get some free time during the day I always try to make it outside for a run. A usual route for me is from Federal Hill to Locust Point, Fort McHenry and back.

Design, build or tear-down? What are your dream projects?

The build phase is my favorite. Being able to see where we start with buildings that are dilapidated and often vacant for years and then seeing the final product is really something special. It gives me a sense of pride to be a part of the positive development that Chasen Companies is doing here in Baltimore.
