Anika Yang, Portfolio Manager of Experience

What is your role, and what does a typical day at Chasen look like? 

My role as a Portfolio Manager is to manage the day to day operations for all the 19 active properties. 

 

My typical day at Chasen consists of managing the day to day operations and maintenance for our 19 properties with Bay Management Group. Jonathan also manages the finance and collection side, so we work very closely daily! 

I also lead the onboarding of new tenants and inspect all units after construction/turnover.  I am looking to bring property management full in-house in the next couple months, so I am currently working on streamlining our operations structure.

 

What is a hobby of yours that you believe is beneficial in the workplace? 

One of  my hobbies is working out! I try to stay active to keep a healthy mind and body. This is extremely beneficial in any workplace because it prolongs mental stamina, lowers stress and so much more! Getting your body to move is a blessing and it should not be taken for granted! 

 

What Baltimore community is your favorite?

 

My favorite Baltimore community would have to be the Inner Harbor area! There are tons of restaurants and of course the beautiful harbor. I feel like this is a central location that brings all kinds of people together! I am not too familiar with all of Baltimore, so I would love to explore Federal Hill more. 

 

App you can’t live without?

My go-to app would have to be Google! You can literally find anything on Google :). 

First job? 

My first job was at Hollister! I started this part time job back in high school to make some extra money.  It was a very fun experience meeting new people and understanding how retail worked. 
 

You have 30 minutes of free time - how do you spend it? 

Any extra time I get, I like to re-decorate my house and organize!
